Job Overview
We are seeking a Senior Cloud Security Architect to join our team. You will design, deploy, and safeguard cloud-hosted IT systems while ensuring strict adherence to Department of Defense (DoD) compliance standards. Additionally, you will drive continuous security improvements by evaluating policies, mitigating emerging threats, and guiding teams through complex cybersecurity vulnerability assessments. You will be located in Richmond, VA. This position does require travel.

Job Overview
We are seeking a Senior Cloud Security Architect to join our team. You will design, deploy, and safeguard cloud-hosted IT systems while ensuring strict adherence to Department of Defense (DoD) compliance standards. Additionally, you will drive continuous security improvements by evaluating policies, mitigating emerging threats, and guiding teams through complex cybersecurity vulnerability assessments. You will be located in Richmond, VA. This position does require travel.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Secure Cloud Architecture & Design: Architecting and engineering cloud-hosted IT systems to ensure they are inherently secure and fully compliant with stringent DoD standards and frameworks.
- Policy Review & Posture Enhancement: Evaluating existing cloud security policies and recommending strategic improvements to bolster protection, detection, monitoring, and response capabilities for systems and data.
- Threat Mitigation & Security Engineering: Leveraging up-to-date knowledge of advanced cloud security engineering principles and emerging threat landscapes to securely support application and program deployments.
- Lifecycle Compliance Management: Embedding security throughout the deployment lifecycle by providing continuous input to program teams, guaranteeing that systems maintain DoD compliance from development through production.
- Vulnerability Assessment Leadership: Providing expert guidance and mentorship to assessment personnel executing Cybersecurity Vulnerability Assessments specifically tailored to cloud hosting environments.
- Must possess a Cloud Security certification
- A minimum of five (5) years of achieving ATOs for compartment DoD IT systems.
- A minimum of two (2) years of experience achieving ATOs in a cloud environment (OCI, AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Highly proficient with Cyber Defense Infrastructure Support -AND- Network Operations Specialist
- A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study.
- Relevant certification meeting DOD 8570/8140 IAT level III.
- Relevant certification meeting DOD 8570/8140 CND-IS.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Must possess a DoD current Secret clearance.
