Job Overview

We are seeking a Computer Network Defense (CND) Analyst to join our team. You will actively monitor, defend, and respond to cyber threats across enterprise networks using advanced Information Assurance (IA) tools and Defense-in-Depth strategies. Additionally, you will ensure continuous Computer Network Defense (CND) compliance while maintaining and optimizing perimeter security applications to safeguard critical information systems. This position is in Columbus, OH.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Threat Detection and Incident Response: Protecting information systems by continuously monitoring networks, analyzing unauthorized activities, and executing deliberate actions to mitigate emerging threats and CND alerts.
  • Compliance and Vulnerability Management: Acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on CND requirements by utilizing IA tools to conduct compliance analysis, correlate data, track vulnerabilities, and escalate non-compliance issues for remediation.
  • Security Engineering and Tool Sustainment: Providing ongoing technical analysis and enterprise-level support for IA applications while implementing Defense-in-Depth signatures and perimeter controls to proactively diminish network threats.
Required Qualifications:
  • DOD Approved 8570/8140 Baseline Certification: Category IAT Level II
  • DOD Approved 8570/8140 CSSP Certification: CSSP-IR
  • A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience or related formal education.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience performing root cause analysis of cybersecurity events and incidents.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience analyzing network traffic and/or system logs.
  • Working knowledge of at least two cybersecurity areas:
    • Firewall
    • IDS/IPS
    • Host based antivirus
    • Vulnerability Management
    • Forensics
    • Malware Analysis
    • Device Hardening
    • Understanding of Defense-in-Depth
  • Ability to build and read scripts in languages such as Perl, Bash, PowerShell, Ruby, Python
  • Must possess written and verbal skills to appropriately document and brief Cybersecurity Incidents.
Clearance Requirements:
  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Must possess a current Top-Secret clearance with SCI access.
