Overview
UnityTec is seeking an experienced, highly motivated, and detail orientated DevSecOps Engineer to join our team to support the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) FedMall Project - a critical eCommerce platform for purchasing and logistics. You will be responsible for facilitating the development of new software solutions and transition of existing monolithic structures to micro-service structure operating within harden containers. Your expertise in automation, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud security will help ensure the secure and efficient delivery of application updates and infrastructure changes.

Requirements:

Certification: Relevant certification from a nationally recognized technical authority

Experience: Five (5) years relevant experience IT experience

Education: BS or BA or four (4) additional years of related experience.

Security Clearance: Current Secret or Higher

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the development of new software solutions and transition of existing solutions from monolithic structures to microservice structure within a defined timeline.
  • Collaborate with development teams and stakeholders to create solutions that leverage DevSecOps CI/CD pipeline and tools.
  • Develop, manage, and document DEVSECOPS pipeline to deploy continuous releases in accordance with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process (Agile CI/CD) ongoing to include off-peak hours.
  • Develop and document processes, procedures, and DevSecOps best practices for maintaining high system security and availability.
  • Work with DLA and FedMall stakeholders to ensure adherence to federal security, including NIST, FedRamp, and DoD compliance frameworks.
  • Utilize DLA's enterprise tools, particularly Atlassian Jira, for development and deployment.
  • Create and maintain relevant documentation in Confluence for direct integration/relationship to JIRA Epics/Stories.
  • Create / maintain a test environment that contains a representative subset of the data needed to test a wide range of system functionality / products / user types / payment methods.
  • Develop Test Scripts on an iterative basis to ensure the full scope of requirements are met, based on inputs to JIRA .

Note that some travel may be required.
